American Express, WASLET and Xerox : A global migration plan of the printer fleet.
American Express is currently present in over 130 countries and has succeeded in becoming one of the worldwide leading companies in the area of payment and credit cards. At Amex Belgium, the printing equipment mainly consisted of personal printers of various brands. Henny Koense, Facilities Manager Benelux, decided to start a global migration plan in order to harmonise this equipment. To make this plan a full success, H. Koense calls upon WASLET IT Services and Solutions who performs an ODA (Office Document Assessment). The personal printers and copiers are being replaced by Xerox multifunctions, connected to the network. The first savings amount to 33%. By the end of 2007, the network will be made more performing by migrating to an Active Directory environment. New document flow management tools will be deployed (scan-to-mail) and the colour production of marketing documents will again be done within the company. Additional savings up to 7% are being foreseen by the end of this year.

Kraft Foods Namur: The right ingredients for an IT environment
upgrade.
As the years pass, a company's IT infrastructure can sometimes become diluted with different
systems, hardware and software. It is at times like this that the whys and wherefores need
to be realigned and is precisely why Kraft Foods Namur called in WASLET IT Services & Solutions
to come and sort out the problem.
In addition to harmonising and upgrading the platforms, WASLET was also asked to reorganise
Krafts servers, storage equipment and backup environment. As a result, a more uniform
and powerful structure was created by implementing a SAN based on the technology and stability
of HP platforms.

Banque Degroof: The robustness of clustering technology.
Banque Degroofs active acquisition policy, as well as increasing numbers of PCs and servers,
plus the need to guarantee increasing levels of availability to both applications and customers
were the principal factors that prompted the bank to seek a more up-to-date solution that delivered
enhanced performance. The system also needed to be better suited to supporting the Degroof
intranet, as well as the functions of file serving in cluster configurations and application
development. A first step towards creating a SAN came with the purchase of an MSA 1000, which
provides a high level of availability and continuity using existing equipment.
